Course Description:
Course number 106, Accelerated Algebra 1/Honors Math, is a
two semester freshman course that meets daily and earns one full
credit per school year. Students who demonstrate math talent
and proficiency in some (but not all) Algebra 1 skills are placed
in this accelerated track course. The course moves at a more rapid
pace than the Algebra 1 course and introduces a wider breadth of
topics. As in the Honors Advanced Math course, emphasis is placed
on solving challenging, non-routine problems.
